Kid's photos that are unique, affordable and show the spirit of your child. 

I like photos that are exciting and filled with emotion. That show a child's personality and possibly take a glimpse into their imagination. I want to be excited and amazed when I look at one of my images and I hope that you will be too. 

Children do not sit still in life and I do not expect them to sit still in a studio. That's why I shoot mainly on location. It's very hard to capture the spirit of a child in an environment that they find boring and restrictive, but take them out into the world and their inquisitive nature takes hold and they really show their true selves.

Capturing children at their best and showcasing their personality is a lot easier and more natural when they are absorbed in something they find familiar. Whether it's a a family birthday party, a school event, or a regular Saturday morning sports match there are many situations that I can capture fantastic images. I shoot Events and Casual Family Portraits in a very similar way and I haven't separated them in my Events Portfolio. The main differences between the two are that casual portraits are not based around an event, and are more focussed on capturing images of a particular person or family. I currently live in Auckland and have two young children of my own. I have worked with and taught young children from babies through to school age both here and in Japan. I know how children behave and what to expect from them. I know they have limits and their personalities vary greatly. I also know that with a bit of patience great things can happen. I love the way children see everything fresh, they're not afraid to question and try new things. Kid's photos are something special and really help to remind us of them how they used to be.
